our founder

Eddie Saucedo is the owner and founder of Saucedo Baseball Academy. He directs the Saucedo Baseball Academy Baseball Camps, and offers private lessons for hitters, pitchers, catchers, infielders, and outfielders at SBA.

Saucedo started his collegiate playing career at JUCO powerhouse Madison College. He played 2 seasons for the WolfPack, and while there, helped them win an N4C Conference Championship, win back-to-back Region IV titles, and helped them to two straight World Series appearances. The WolfPack had a record of 95-24, and a winning percentage of 0.798 over Saucedo’s two years in Madison. As a sophomore, Saucedo lead the WolfPack as the starting catcher to the National Championship Series in Enid, Oklahoma.

In his second year at Madison, Saucedo received Madison College’s Male Sportsperson of the Year Award for his leadership and contributions both on and off the field.

Following his final year in Madison, Saucedo spent the summer playing for the Clinton LumberKings, a collegiate summer league team in Clinton, Iowa that was formerly a minor league team affiliated with the Miami Marlins, Seattle Mariners, and Texas Rangers.

After playing in Clinton, Saucedo moved on to play at NCAA Division I Youngstown State University. Saucedo was able to compete against and experience success while playing against some of the best schools in the country while at YSU, including Wake Forest, Baylor, and Kansas State. While at Youngstown State, he helped out at camps, learning ways to most effectively communicate with and coach players, as well as learning how high school players are evaluated and noticed in a camp setting at the Division I level.

In his final summer, Saucedo played for the Edmonton Riverhawks in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The Riverhawks are a member of the West Coast League, one of the top college summer leagues in North America.
